Playing the game
What happens when a character dies?
In the intended design, an ordinary character death can end that character's life and its character-level development. The soul continues, with selected soul-level unlocks and progression able to carry forward. A new life does not automatically restore everything the old one earned. Exact rules and any explicitly designed exceptions remain subject to development.
Is Hollow Concord an MMO?
Yes. Hollow Concord is being developed as a sandbox MMORPG: a massively multiplayer online role-playing game with a persistent shared world. Exploration, building, survival and player relationships are central to it. The game is in development; public access and final capacity details have not been announced.
What is Hollow Concord?
Hollow Concord is an upcoming sandbox MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) about enduring souls living through mortal bodies. Exploration, survival, building, character skills and player relationships shape its shared world. The game is still in development.
What does a persistent world mean?
The shared world is designed to continue beyond an individual play session. Places, property and the consequences of player activity matter over time. This does not guarantee that every possession or the world’s geography stays unchanged forever. Specific systems and persistence rules are still being developed and tested.
Can I build a home?
Land ownership, player buildings, doors and storage are part of the current development work. The aim is to make a home a useful part of life in the world. Availability, costs and ownership rules remain subject to development.
Can I explore alone or play with others?
Both independent exploration and cooperation are part of the design. You can choose your own goals, while shared settlements, guilds and expeditions give players reasons to work together. Different activities bring different risks.
Is there combat and PvP?
Yes. Combat development includes weapons, abilities, spells, defensive choices and positioning. The project also includes work on arena and battleground encounters. Final availability, rules and balance are still in development.
How important are survival and preparation?
Food, water, equipment and environmental conditions are part of the game systems. Preparation can influence which journeys you attempt, what you carry and when you decide to return. Detailed values are being tested and balanced.

World & discovery
Must everyone follow the main mystery?
No single life has to be devoted to the same purpose. Exploration, survival, building, crafting, player relationships, and conflict have a place alongside deeper Hollow expeditions. The larger mystery does not replace everyday life in the world.
What is the story of Hollow Concord?
Hollow Concord is built around enduring souls living through mortal bodies. Players make lives on the Surface while the Hollow and its corruption threaten the world beneath and around them. Rebirth, loss, and the relationships between souls shape the setting. Its deeper history and discoveries are left for the game.
Is the Hollow just a dungeon?
The Hollow is being designed as substantial, layered environments beneath the Surface, with their own conditions, inhabitants, and resources. Its corruption is part of the larger threat in the setting. The full nature of that threat is a discovery for the game.
What is the Hollow?
The Hollow includes substantial, physically explorable environments beneath the Surface. It is also a threat of corruption with consequences beyond ordinary wounds, including the risk of losing command of a living body. Its ultimate nature and the connections to other worlds are left for discovery.
Will this site reveal the story or its secrets?
Only the broad premise and publicly described gameplay are covered here. Discoveries, hidden systems, solutions and the deeper story are left for the game.

Images & media
Will the game look exactly like these screenshots?
The development captures show early work, with art, lighting, terrain, animations and interfaces still being refined. Environment tests and interface prototypes may use unfinished assets or test data. They document progress, not a finished visual standard.
Which images show the actual game?
The Development captures section shows images from the actual development project: the game client, environment tests, a combat replay and an interface prototype. Each is labelled by type and marked Work in progress. The separate Concept art section contains atmospheric illustrations, not gameplay screenshots. Neither collection represents final visuals.
